姨姨's Wedding DAY!! - The Ceremony

Throughout the day, we see people scurrying up and down the staircases, bring bales of satiny sheets of cloths, baskets of flowers, boards....and Heaven's Gifts folks were at the events ground checking for details.

Around 3pm, he set-up is taking shape nicely and we started to get ready by having a manicure & pedicure. They have a dedicate spa room, where we took turns to paint our nails. I regretted doing the manicure, as i still need to take care of JY, which inevitably ruin the paintwork as i can't steer clear of doing nothing for 2hours for the paint to dry.

So, while we busied ourselves with mani/pedi/ make-up. i insisted to do my own make-up cos it cost USD$250 to do ONE face....although my dear sis wanted to sponsor this as well.

JY is one of the flower girl, the other one is Caitlyn who is almost 3 months older than her. They are similarly dressed in Lifebaby cross-back dress. JY & WJ waiting at the lawn outside for me to get ready...so she started at the pool, sea, wandered around..and started dancing..maybe the Kechak Dance...?

"Daddy, are we ready yet?"

Kechak Dance??

2 of the nicer shots out of a million photos.....

JY wandering around the near-empty Estate anticipating for the guests to arrive...and waiting for the other flower-girl to appear to do their job. With a slight breeze and warm sunlight in the dusk. it was a perfect weather to have an alfresco wedding.

Stepping on a flower

Uncle-Niece bonding time

The ceremony area starting to fill up nicely with guests coming in by the vanloads. And the other flower girl is here at last.....but...she fell asleep en-route in the van! We tried all means to wake Caitlyn up but she seems to fallen into deep slumber and it's 5mins before the ceremony is suppose to start!

Sneaking a peek at the camera

Making popeye face on demand by photographer - Caitlyn's father who is still happily snapping photos of his sleepy daughter.

We sang songs, clapped hands, sit her upright (and she slump right back down) and finally, when i tried to sit her upright in my arms, she woke up with bleary eyes. We hurriedly brought both flower girls on standby at the foot of the staircase. They attracted everyone's attention and all camerias were trained on them innocently clutching their posy of roses ($200!!).

JY has a successful trial run where she brought the posy to her grandma at the front of the alter.

We were hoping that the 2 flower girls would be good and walk in a straight line when the couple walks down the staircase.....

They begin the walk.....amidst me shouting "JNGYI JINGYI..WALK TOWARDS DADDY" at the top of my voice as my little darling tends to indulge in her own world..and all around me, people are like "awww, the bride, isn't she pretty and aww..aren't the flower girls so cute"..then you have me..the shouting madwoman...

Caitlyn passed her 20m sprint while JY suddenly stop in her track halfway and turn around to spot her aunt (bride) and staggered towards her while pointing and smiling away. Anyway, a madwoman came running up to her and cajole her away to the front....whatever the toddlers do, it's all cute....

The Estate was really pretty with the decorations, the smell of the sweet flowers, pink and red balls of lights dancing in the wind, guests sportingly dressed to the theme of tropical chic.

The beautiful wedding ceremony by the cliff was breathtaking and special, complete with KT's memorable vows " I will Cherry You" will be etched deep in our minds.

All these while, JY can't keep still during the ceremony, so she busied herself with the pink parasol , which is part of the wedding favour. In a way, i'm glad for this little distraction, otherwise i would have weep cos it's such a beautiful wedding in such breathtaking setting.
