Evening Mama

my mum was always full of stories when i come home from work. little anecdotes of how my little girl has grown a bit each day.

Anecdote #1 : She's babbling a string of words to my mother recently.

Anecdote #2: She enjoys going out to send us off work in the morning and welcome us back home in the evening, where she attracts tons of attention. Little JY would smile obligingly back and play along with these strangers.

Anecdote #3: She knows where to stop when my mum said "Stop" especially when it comes to the kitchen and toilet areas. She'll turn around and look at my mum.

Anecdote #4: She's taking walks around my living room table, still needing to support her way around. Recently, she allow my mum to only support her with one hand to toddle around

Anecdote #5: Once my mum scolded harsher than normal, she almost broke into tears and held back so much that it shows in her face and look at my mum with her downturn mouth that my mum's heart ache for this little girl.

Now, she cried a little when she sees me walking away to work. sigh, these days i spend so little time yet again due to work..i feel so extremely guilty and thinking of alternative work arrangements to spend more time with her.

I'm so happy that she seems learning fast and yet sad that i'm not around to experience it first-hand but as a bedside stories when i catch up with my mum in the evenings.
