Scratch the Itch
Lil JY is especially irritated these days as her ezcema gotten worse. She often scratch herself from her hair, face, body, hands and legs so much that it pains us. She doesn't sleep well in the night, often waking up crying and scratching her head. Due to this, i had countless visits to the doctors, getting cream and bath/shampoo for her almost monthly. I also have switched bathwash for her so many times, from mustela to pigeon to gaia to jurlique, now i'm on doctor's recommendation. All doesn't work. only the cream, which i'm reluctant as it's steroid.I have also totally avoided diary products and nuts, both i loved so much. It was such a conscious effort to cut off these totally and it took me a few weeks to adjust as i didn't realise that they have become part of my daily diet and Sg food culture is not sophiscated enough to label lactose-free or not, include nuts or not.
We have an appointment with a skin specialist for baby but the pedeatrician did mention that ezcema can only be controlled and not cured completed. so as long as we find out what is the trigger and avoid it, it should be fine. But the dilemma is the trigger is food? environment? external creams/lotions/laundry detergent? Even now, i can't even find the trigger to my own ezcema...

Hi, I also have skin problems. So i don't use normal soap for washing hands.Only cetaphil which is a soapless formula. same for eliza. She has sensitive skin. can only use certain brands of cream or will have rashes. Johnson & johnson is out for her
