JY's Scrapbook of Love

When JY turned one earlier this year, she had so many lovely gifts & ang pows, i was overwhelmed and grateful for the love everyone shown to her.

One good thing was those unnecessary gifts were kept to a minimum, reducing wastage & re-gifting which i hate. One gift which i cherished v much, was something which money cannot buy, even tho i heard it costs $150+ in raw materials & 1 sleepless night to complete it. It is this lovely scrapbook put together by Kelly, Evelyn & Aunt Yan. Everyone can see the effort of designing these 12 pages with each different creative themes and cute details. Every time i flipped the book, the more it grows on me.

The scrapbook was creative and fun, down to the details with the little tabs.

New Born - Altho i wouldn't use sleepy to describe her, this is her sleepiest period, definitely.

1st Month - everyday her face seems to keep changing

2nd Month - when she becomes more awake & conscious of her world.

3 months - when she started chuckling out loud and everyone falls in love with her cheeky smile.

4th Month - her cute chubby cheeks makes her eyes look like only a slit

5th Month - she discover her mobility & what she can with her legs.

The half-way mark her chubby cheeks growth and her model baby looks all thanks to her father's great photography skills. Thus, this page is creatively fashioned like a magazine...

7th Month - a solo photo of her and the retro headband and one of the few family photos we had. must endeavour to take more family photos together. I like the front cover which JY gave a kung-fu kick.

8th Month was a visit to my grandparents and the visit to Ion Orchard and dressed up in her little tights! we loved how she looked and of course the captions was "Inherited the Beautiful Genes", hmm..sounds grammatical not right, but yeah, i like it!.....

This month's special reminisces the visit to East Coast and we had a breakfast picnic by the beach.

10th month's covers the Malaysis road trip pics and BBQ dinner we went to Uncle Ban's plc.

11th month was characterised by Aunt Yan, Kelly, Evelyn & Weixiang's visit, which of course, J never fail to amuse them and converted WX into a fan of JY.

The second last page gives a snap shot of JY over the 12 months.

Note from the 2 lovely aunties, the little tab says : Made By Your Very Tired Aunties & Grandaunt. I can imagine JY reading this next time and having such a meaningful keepsake

Family Date to Army Museum ( March)

Some mornings, WJ & me would have breakfast at Canopy, Aramsa Spa Bishan Park. It's yummy comfort food and it's the best poached eggs i have eaten in Singapore, comparable to standards of poached eggs found in England or Australia.
Some facts about this method of poaching eggs with hollandaise sauce.
Egg Benedict is soft poached eggs on english muffin with with ham and hollandaise sauce
Egg Royale is soft poached eggs on english muffin with smoked salmon and hollandaise sauce
Egg Florentine is soft poached eggs on english muffin spinach and hollandaise sauce
For a start, it was a long drive to Jurong...upon reaching, it was a hot and tranquil day, surroundings were peaceful and there is no one in sight, except for a sweeper. The whole place was like open to public but there on that day, it was like open especially for us! I particularly like the history gallery, starting with the overturn double-deck bus.

Our stay lasted perhaps an hour or so, mainly for JY to meander around without fear of bumping another someone.

What better way to celebrate our 2nd Anniversary with the little girl this year :)

Sweet hubby bought this cake from awfully chocolate for the whole family

East Coast again!

WJ took part in the Navy Biathlon and of course the whole family went to support him.

Look at their face, it's indeed a hot and sunny morning....
