Post- Trip

As much as i was looking forward to the trip, i sort of was glad that it's over. it was a gruelling test for me & WJ cos the little monkey just couldn't keep still except when we are out walking and it wasn't fun when you carried her in the sweltering hot sun while lugging big baby bag. All you want to do is to constantly find a shady spot & sit down.

We learnt that
- for road trips (esp for restless babies like her) simply just cannot be ROAD trips. we were on the road almost on a daily basis driving for 4-5 hours, even with breaks it was insufficient to keep her engaged. my bagful of toys ran out of steam after 2 hours despite me squeezing in 10 different toys & snacks.

- we cannot cover so many places at short period of time

- we shoud have brought our parents so they can cover us while we napped or take a break from the jumpy little monkey. it was pure exhaustion for both of us, bearing in mind WJ has to take the full load of driving.

- some of the gadgety stuff are not really that useful.

- we could be less anal and let JY repeat some of her worn clothes and not bring 10 sets of clothes + 2 PJs + fresh towels

- i barely used her bowl & some just-in-case containers i brought along. she totally ditched the jars of baby food which was so accepted back home.
