Lil JY has very bad cradle cap....infantile crusty skin rash. Her scalp has hard, yellowish & scaly crusts, so serious that doctor gave shampoo to wash her hair. It improved slightly as it's not so red & the yellowish discharge was reduced significantly. Although most advised that olive oil & gently combing helped ease some of it off, it didn't really work on JY as most still stubbornly stick onto her hair & refuse to come off, we were gentle & rather afraid it would aggravate her situation, we left it as that........The past few days, we noticed JY scratched her head a lot. To my alarm, i discovered that her mittens were speckled with dots of dried blood & her scalp were bleeding slightly!* Heart pain* This silly girl still was playing nonchalantly! Her crusty scalp were flaking & falling off (together with fine clumps of hair..*heart pain again*) with the vigorous scratching, by the third day, her cradle cap is almost gone!
It's as if she's sending a message that since mummy & granny is not helping to remove her cradle cap, she's gonna do it by herself i.e vigorous scrubbing of her scalp with her hands & mittens.
