My Bangkok Trip
Did something which i never did in my whole life, shop 2 straight days in a row & bought so much stuff back! Backpack initially weighed 4kg, come back it weighed 11kg and i hv 2 large hand carry bags(1 for snacks & 1 for my wacoals, cannot afford to squash anyone of it..hee)First day, Mrs Chua & me arrived at night at the new Suvarnubhumi Airport. It's ugly! with exposed concrete & uncompleted structure everywhere! Tip: For those who wants cheap & reliable transport,proceed straight out of the airport lobby, at Basement 1 where you need to purchase taxi coupons (by meter +service charge 50baht+toll charges) & all the taxis on standby. We stayed in Grand Diamond Hotel is right smacked in the Pratunam District where all the wholesale action takes place. reasonably priced & all the comforts of a hotel.
We got most of our bargains from Pratunam Complex (taller bldg) for cheap bottoms/ skirts/ jeans + shorter bldg where we got most of our cheap dresses & tops.
It was a most amazing trip as I spotted bridal wear shop at the shopping complex & contemplated to make my ROM dress there! :D
It was strange how we were not hungry during lunch, we just hop frm one shopping mall to another, shopping from clothes to sportswear to shoes to the likes of wacoals/triumphs/bsc...my poor legs were so tired after each day.
There was this night, we were lugging the paper bags (see above photos) & STILL, we were chasing after the vendors at the night market before they close so we can be their last customers AND the best part is, at any one time, only one of us can try the dress/skirt/blouse cos the other 2 will be helping her to carry the baggages on top of our own. Nevertheless, we still pampered ourselves to Blooming Spa (nice ambience & inexpensive) & eat the ever-yummy mango sticky rice which is our staple everyday.
Ah-hem, at the end of the trip, tho i'm the weaker one amidst my stronger shopaholic friends, i manage to score quite abit too!

7 skirts
6 bottoms (2 jeans + 1 leggings + 3 three-quarter pants)
5 blouses
5 pair of shorts
4 pair of shoes
3 belts
2 dresses
Most pair of shoes we bought at $9 !
Yes! It has been one of my most satisfying trip to BKK cos i hv bought maybe ..close to my 2 years worth of shopping within these 2 days?
