Teas & Teats
Tea as usual...this time with 2 babies boys..oh gosh...it's really a logistic arrangement and i really empathised with mummies bringing babies out, its realy hard to find a babies-friendly cafe or restaurant, problem is pushing & parking the huge pram so pple wun trip over. Or where should i put my bags/babies stuff...
Met Kenn at long last! the moment i carried him, he vomited milk on me..wat can i say..? i'm a magnet for babies drool & milk..this lil fella is so heavy & big --> 8.8kg for a 4mths babe, his eyes resemble Lynn so much! tho i must say his physique took after his dad! :D this fellow fell asleep very fast & took a power nap & woke up energetic as ever, lynn has trained up on her arm power to continously carry him in her arms...
Marcellus has grown too, though still as lovable & cuddly....love to carry him as he is so responsive to me & smiled a lot, just tugged at my heart...
uploaded their photos in my album ------------>
Now cant wait for Jen to pop! Her tummy is getting so huge and nutella is coming out :D
Shy Ranbow - Faster come back & see the babies!!
AHHH........
My Nails (yes, nails not nail) Chipped! Never have i thought i'll utter this & really meant it :/
..the bane of manicure...handwashing your clothes....
Mani & Pedi
Did my first serious manicure & pedicure, it's actually done in 2 sessions...first session was the toenails & all the scrubbing & clipping of cuticles..quite therepeutic & addictive, man..!!then i was late for my wedding dnr, so i postponed the nails to 2 days later...that's when the obstacles started..
1. how to get my wallet out from my bag without the nails coming in contact with the bag zippers and whatever is in my bag
2. where to place my hands and fingers ( then i end up extending my fingers straight like vampire
3. how to hold spoon & fork to eat my dinner (i eat like primary school kid learning how to hold utensils)
4. take my keys to open/close my house lock (not easy ok, using only my thumb & index finger to hold & turn the key gently)
5. how to type the keyboard & not 'destroy' my nails by being so rough
ALL THIS ACTIONS while keep reminding myself 'TO BE GENTLE BE GENTLE'...v tiring..
then i remembered why i didnt do manicure after my first try..cos i find it too troublesome to be gentle with hands & fingers.like..how can a manicure last longer if i have to wash my clothes, wash dishes, open cans, do housechores...how??
despite all my efforts, my nails bore the marks of scratches & signs of fading at the edges, after only..2 days..
Wedding Dnr
Another one got hitched..a JC guy fren, we used to nickname him Gargarmel...attended with another JC guy fren... luckily there's him around, the rest really lost contact with them...otherwise i have to endure a 3hr dinner 8 courses all by myself..so coincidentally, met another friend at the wedding dnr, Ah Beng!! who happens to be the groom's(Gagarmel) new colleague..
I'm not used to sitting down at a wedding dnr & be just a ordinary..hmm..should i say.. diner(??!)..and i saw ALL the very cliche moments, maybe we shld have a poll of which ones are the TOP Cliche of Wedding Dinners
The nominees are;....
- The pompous display of MaGNIFIcent Song PRESENTING the First Dish, where all solemn banquet waitress marched in and my goosebumps starts to stand
- requesting tables along the aisle to handle the bubble blower (in the shape of Nemo) or throw flower petals/confetti/watever glitters & flitters to aim at the newly weds.
- cake cutting(come on, it's just holding & placing the knife into a stipulated narrow strip in the syrofoam multi-tired wedding cake where no one else in the audience sees)
- the moment of groom popping the champagne cos everyone would be so concerned whether the cork would fly and hit into our faces.
- or the DIE- DIE MUST Yam Seng portion where the 'brothers' would shout til their voices are hoarse and the rest of the diners have to endured with a pained and almost embarassed look throughout the 3 yam sengs...
Yet strange enough, these cliches are actually bearable when I'm helping out at fren's dnrs.. and i must say i thoroughly enjoyed being there for my close friends cos you naturely wanted the best for them & nothing beats seeing their blissful but tired looks on their face at the end of the night.
dont know why, suddenly feel so jaded and tired..must be grouchiness wearing off...
Grouchy Day
Yes, its one of my grouchiest of grouchy mood..damn sian when i'm in this mood..everything seems to trigger off my temper..so m keeping quiet most time today..wish it will wear off soon..so yes, so i stayed at home & sulked the entire day..

Yellow Ribbon
Today experienced a first which not everyone had! I had a glimpse of prison life!! Had a rare opportunity to spend nearly an entire day because of work behind bars...and really, it is a lot of metal bars....
I was expecting sneering middle age men with tattoos with KL faces(watched too much TV & movies..) and i was not expecting to find the inmates the total opposites..of cos in front of visitors, they have to put on their best behaviours lah..they were polite & just like anyone along the streets, and some, and quite a number of them are quite good-looking and suave looking ones!!!
They were an earnest bunch of pple, majority genuinely interested to find a job after their imprisonment..u can sense they are keen & receptive to employers who are willing to take them in. I really empathasied some with mid/long term sentences, lacking in workskills & out of touch with the society, how are they going to merge back smoothly?....can u imagine someone with were slammed with a 20 yrs imprisonment and about to be released soon..they might not know what a handphone really looks like, how roads are changed, what is vivocity? what's budget terminal..and they need the willpower not to revert back to the familiar old ways..
